About This Event
Join Horticulturalist Roots Marshall for a guided tour of the Asheville Botanical Garden. On this walk come prepared to enjoy our Southern Appalachian native wildflowers, view urban stream restoration techniques, hear endless fun and (mostly) relevant plant facts, and learn about the history of the ABG.
Roots is an ecologist and the Horticulturalist at the Asheville Botanical Garden. He loves plants in all their forms, from bryophyte to arboreal parasite, and spends most days covered in mud, dirt, and leaves. When not at the ABG, you can usually find him covered in different mud, dirt, and leaves.
Be aware as well that the gravel trails can become fairly steep and there are few places to sit down. If members of the group have mobility difficulties accommodations can be made, but there may be places in the garden that are out of reach.
No dogs are allowed at the garden.
This experience will count as 1.5 hours toward Criteria 2/CEUS for NC EE Certification.
