About This Event
Methods of Teaching Environmental Education (MOTEE) is a 10-hour workshop designed to help practitioners create inclusive and age-appropriate learning experiences, gain group management skills, practice teaching methods to promote inquiry, and gain skills in designing objectives, lessons, and assessments for EE programs using NC Essential Standards as a foundation.
This workshop is for educators (formal, nonformal, and higher education) who want to learn more about:
Diversity of Learners
Creating the Learning Environment
Teaching Methods
Developmentally Appropriate Practice
Assessment
North Carolina Essential Standards
Format: This course will be a combination of independent online work and required group calls. We will be using an online platform called Moodle for independent work and Zoom for the calls (video and call-in options). Live calls will consist of breakout rooms/peer teaching, slideshow presentation, and the use of shared documents platforms like Jamboard and Google Slides.

Registration: $20 for EENC members, $25 for general registration.
