EENC 2026 Annual Conference

The 2026 conference theme is Emerald Pathways: From Triangle Roots to Carolina Horizons. Join us as we celebrate 35 years of environmental education excellence—and we're ready to party! From the Triangle’s pioneering roots to our growing impact across North Carolina and the country, this milestone conference brings together educators, nature enthusiasts, and community leaders who are passionate about teaching people to care for our planet. Come discover experiential teaching strategies, share classroom and field successes with fellow educators, and get inspired by three and a half decades of transformative learning. Whether you're a seasoned environmental educator or just beginning to get your boots dirty, you'll find fresh curriculum ideas, genuine connections, and plenty of reasons to feel excited about engaging the next generation. There is a Thursdsay September 10 evening gathering at Lake Johnson's Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center. Be ready for 90s trivia, games, costumes (why not?), and maybe even some throwback karaoke! More details to come, but be sure to check the box during registration if you'd like to attend.
