Many EE programs and practitioners have found value in utilizing virtual and hybrid programming over these last few years. But how do you put together a great virtual program that keeps your audience engaged during the height of Zoom and screen fatigue? What if you need a virtual version of your program ready at any moment, just in case in-person classes are suddenly cancelled?How do you split up content and activities to make a hybrid program? Learn all this and more with a special panel of educators who have spent these past years working out just that!

Presenters: Martha Fisk, Laura Beth Speer, and Morgan Freese

Martha Fisk and Laura Beth Speer are Virtual and Offsite Outreach educators at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Museum virtual programs have been available for many years prior to the pandemic, but they have learned a lot over the past 2 years to make improvements to the programs. They have also expanded offerings to include more asynchronous resources.

Morgan Freese is the virtual programs coordinator at the N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher, where she brings her outdoor educator experience from nature camps and field programs to the digital sphere. In her free time, she delights in exploring intersections between the outdoors and technology, from iNaturalist and eBird to Pokemon Go.
