About This Event
The Guidelines for Excellence is a series of materials that helps environmental educators hone their practice and programs to national standards of high-quality environmental education programming. Developed by the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), the Guidelines document the collective wisdom of hundreds of educators across our nation; these guides are updated periodically to reflect new research, changing best practices, and an increasing attention to equity and inclusion.
This workshop is for educators (formal, nonformal, and higher education) who want to:
- Design effective education programs that focus on climate change
- Address climate injustice in their community.
- Ignite just climate action with youth or adults.
Though all participants are welcome, this workshop will be catered toward Triangle Area educators at this time. More in person and online options for this workshop will be available in the coming months. As this is a pilot workshop, EENC will be collecting feedback from participants on highlights and lowlights, mechanics, and learning targets. Stipends are available to all participants for their time and feedback (Non-formal educators will recieve $50 compensation, classroom teachers will recieve $150 to cover the cost of their substitute as well as compensation).Â
The ticket fee is to hold your space and will be refunded upon attendance.Â
